Bryant Hudson

Professor Bryant Hudson is a Full Professor at the IÉSEG School of Management, specializing in strategic responses to organizational stigma and macro-sociocultural pressures. He holds a Ph.D. in International Management Studies (University of Texas at Dallas, 1997) and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (1983). His research focuses on institutional theory, business and society issues, and strategy implementation, with a track record in stigma, legitimacy, and organizational behavior.

Recipient of the 2020 Joanne Martin Trailblazer Award (shared) and the 2019 Tucker Awards for Excellence in Swearing, his work bridges sociology and management to address taboo topics like organizational stigma and institutional contestation. Teaching includes courses on organizational fundamentals, research methodology, and change management.

Research highlights include exploring stigma in social housing, LGBT policies, and the interplay between emotions and institutional processes. His work often addresses marginalized organizations and the dynamics of legitimacy in contentious contexts.
