Bryan W. Sokol

Bryan W. Sokol is Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Saint Louis University's College of Arts and Sciences. Teaching includes General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and the Ignite Seminar 'Mind at the Museum'.

Holds a Ph.D. from University of British Columbia. Research focuses on positive youth development, moral character, empathy, personal agency, meaning-making, and creativity in applied contexts.

Recent publications examine moral exemplars, service-learning justice initiatives, and spiritual/political engagement in college students. Scholarship consistently links identity development with civic engagement and social action.
