Bryan P Florentin

Bryan P Florentin is an Assistant Professor of Art and Photography Area Coordinator in the Department of Art and Art History at The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). He also serves as the department's Assistant Chair. His work bridges artistic practice with academic scholarship, focusing on photography, queer theory, and art history. Florentin holds an M.F.A. in Photography from the University of North Texas (1998) and a B.A. in Art and Performance from the University of Texas at Dallas (1993).

Recent exhibitions include On or About the (Uncanny) Double “World” (2022) and Something Tangible (2021).

Professional activities include jurying exhibitions, lecturing on photography, and participating in conferences like the Association of Texas Photography Instructors. He has advised one Master’s thesis student, Lindsay Roche.
