Dr. Bryan Carter is a Professor in Africana Studies at the University of Arizona and Director of the Center for Digital Humanities within the College of Humanities. He specializes in African American literature of the 20th century, focusing on the Harlem Renaissance and digital culture. His work bridges historical scholarship with cutting-edge digital tools, notably through the Virtual Harlem project, an early virtual reality environment exploring 1920s Harlem's cultural landscape. Dr. Carter has held visiting roles at Sorbonne University (Paris IV) and led workshops globally on Digital Humanities, generational learning styles, and immersive technologies.
