Bruno Zatt

Bruno Zatt is a Professor at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel), Brazil, affiliated with the Group of Architectures and Integrated Circuits (GACI) and the Video Technology Research Group (ViTech). He holds a B.S. (2006) and M.S. (2008) in Computer Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Microelectronics (2012, summa cum laude) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). With 14+ years of research experience, his work focuses on algorithms and hardware architectures for video processing, including 3D video coding for embedded devices. He has conducted research at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT, Germany) and served as a visiting professor at the University of California, Irvine (USA). He has published over 90 papers and authored the book '3D Video Coding for Embedded Devices'. Since 2017, he has been a CNPq Productivity Research Fellow.

His research spans video processing, embedded systems, and microelectronics, emphasizing practical applications in hardware design. He collaborates internationally and contributes to interdisciplinary teams in video technology.
