Bruno Scrosati

Bruno Scrosati (1937-2024) was Visiting Professor at Helmholtz Institute Ulm (University of Ulm) from 2014-2016. Pioneer in electrochemical energy storage who published the foundational 1980 paper introducing 'rocking-chair' battery technology (later termed lithium-ion batteries).

Key Contributions: Co-organized the first International Meeting on Lithium Batteries (Rome, 1982), establishing the premier conference in the field.
