Bruce Newton is a Professor and Chair of Anatomy at Campbell University School of Medicine. He earned a B.S. in Biology from Slippery Rock University and a Ph.D. in Anatomy from the University of Kentucky. His research spans neuroanatomy and medical education, focusing on spinal autonomic development, hormonal regulation of sexual dimorphism, sex differences in pain, and empathy/critical thinking development in medical education. A recipient of the 2016 IAMSE Master Teacher Award, he teaches Gross Anatomy, Histology, Embryology, and Neuroscience.
