Bruce Morrison

Bruce Morrison is an Assistant Professor and Chair of the Undergraduate Program in the Department of Political Science at the University of Western Ontario’s Faculty of Social Science. He holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University and has received multiple awards for teaching and research, including the Bank of Nova Scotia/UWO Alumni Association Award of Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching.

His research focuses on democratization, state formation, and political corruption, with comparative historical analyses of Western European cases. He explores transnational democracy and institutional change, particularly in Britain and France, analyzing how constitutionalist traditions and electoral systems shape democratization trajectories.
