Bruce Harvey, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at the Florida A&M University – Florida State University Joint College of Engineering in Tallahassee, Florida. He holds a B.E.E. from Auburn University (1984), M.S.E.E. from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (1987), and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology (1991). His research focuses on wireless communication systems, spread-spectrum communications, real-time digital signal processing, and lightning surge protection for critical infrastructure. Currently, he leads projects for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to enhance telemetered traffic monitoring systems and assess lightning damage to intelligent transportation systems (ITS).
