Bruce Haglund is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus in Architecture at the University of Idaho's College of Art and Architecture, where he has taught since 1982. He holds a B.S. in Math from Illinois Institute of Technology and M.Arch. from University of Oregon.
His research focuses on sustainable and regenerative design, with ongoing projects including the Daylighted Artificial Sky – a UI Seed Grant-winning initiative involving over 30 student researchers. He leads biannual study abroad programs in the UK and teaches courses covering environmental systems, natural lighting, and building performance evaluation.
As past president of the Society of Building Science Educators, he maintains active research collaborations and has presented student work internationally.
