Bruce Ackerman

Bruce Ackerman is a Lecturer of Biology at Colorado Mesa University's Montrose Campus, teaching Introduction to Environmental Science with over 40 years of professional wildlife biology experience.

His educational background includes:

• PhD in Wildlife Resources from the University of Idaho
• MS in Wildlife Science from Utah State University
• BS in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Ackerman's research centers on field-based wildlife conservation and human-wildlife interactions. Since 1975, he has studied species including Florida manatees, Idaho mule deer, and Utah mountain lions, with recent focus on hunter and fisherman behavior.
