Brooke Robinson

Brooke Robinson is an Assistant Professor in the Mayborn College of Health Sciences at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, where she teaches in the MSN and EdD (Nursing Education) programs. She has been a full-time nursing professor since 2015, focusing on undergraduate nursing education in classroom, clinical, and simulation settings. Prior to academia, she worked as an emergency department nurse for over a decade and continues part-time in that role to maintain clinical relevance. Her career transition from high school math education to nursing reflects her commitment to patient care and education. She emphasizes practical, career-relevant teaching and uses her clinical experiences to enrich classroom instruction.

Dr. Robinson’s educational journey includes an MSN from West Texas A&M University (2015) and an anticipated EdD in Nursing Education from Bryan College of Health Sciences (2024). She prioritizes student connectivity, leveraging video conferencing and responsive communication in online teaching. She advises students to prioritize diligence, organization, and early problem-solving. Her teaching philosophy centers on fostering passion for nursing and preparing students to deliver exceptional patient care through strong assessment skills and lifelong learning.
