Brooke Haiar

Dr. Brooke Haiar is a Professor of Sciences at the University of Lynchburg, where she has been affiliated since 2008. She holds a PhD in Geological Sciences from the University of Oklahoma, an MS in Geology from Virginia Tech, and a BS in Geology also from Virginia Tech. Her research focuses on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in geological sciences, micropaleontology collection techniques, and undergraduate experiential learning. She also investigates vertebrate paleontology and paleobotany related to the Morrison and Cloverly Formations. Dr. Haiar teaches courses such as Environmental Geology, Experiential Geology, and field-based domestic study programs in Wyoming.
