Brooke D. Fidler

Dr. Brooke D. Fidler is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Long Island University (LIU) College of Pharmacy. She has been affiliated with LIU since 2000 and is a full-time faculty member. Her primary practice site is Kings Specialty Pharmacy, where she oversees the PGY-1 Community Residency program as Residency Director. She coordinates the physical assessment course and teaches pharmacotherapy principles. Dr. Fidler’s research focuses on community pharmacy practice, medication therapy management, and the expanding role of nonprescription medications. She actively contributes to continuing education for pharmacists through webinars and publications.

Her research interests include optimizing patient self-care practices, evaluating pharmacist perceptions of Rx-to-OTC medication switches, and improving medication utilization patterns. She has published in P&T Journal and Journal of Nurse Practitioners, and regularly presents at conferences like the ASHP Midyear Meeting. As an advisor for Lambda Kappa Sigma pharmacy honor society and a journal reviewer, she actively engages in professional service.

Dr. Fidler oversees Kings Pharmacy’s Medication Management Program and annually delivers the ‘Breast Cancer Awareness’ lecture at LIU Pharmacy’s Dean’s Hour series. She collaborates with Drug Store News and FreeCE to provide continuing education content on nonprescription medications and community pharmacy advancements.
