Brooke Ann Inman

Brooke Ann Inman serves as a faculty member and printmaking technician at Virginia Commonwealth University's School of the Arts within the Painting and Printmaking Department, while also teaching community workshops at Richmond's Studio Two Three.

Education:

• BFA in Printmaking, Cleveland Institute of Art (2006)
• MFA in Painting and Printmaking, Virginia Commonwealth University (2008)

Their artistic practice centers on intaglio and screen printmaking with deep exploration of color theory, extending into installation art, conceptual drawing, and interdisciplinary projects involving writing, collecting systems, and spatial organization. This work investigates material processes, perceptual phenomena, and the relationship between systematic arrangement and organic form through both traditional and experimental approaches.

Brooke maintains an active exhibition record with solo presentations at Quirk Gallery (Richmond), Starfangled Press (Brevard), Hunt Gallery (Staunton), Ada Gallery (Richmond), and Raw & Co. (Cleveland), alongside significant group exhibitions including a two-person show at Philadelphia's Space 1026, demonstrating consistent regional and national recognition in contemporary art venues.
