Brook Andrew is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Fine Art at Monash University. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Western Sydney University (1993) and a Master of Fine Arts (Research) from the same institution (2000).
Research interests include decolonizing archives, Indigenous memorialization, and the intersection of art with historical memory. His work explores themes of cultural agency through immersive installations, such as In Vision of Nuance (2019) and More Than a Tarrang (2023), which interrogate colonial legacies and ecological knowledge.
Key grants include leadership roles in federal projects like The Space Between Us (2021–2028) and advisory roles in memorial design, such as the Tunnerminnerwait and Maulboyheener memorial (2016). Collaborations span museums, universities, and Indigenous communities globally.
