Dr. Brona Kehoe is a Lecturer in the Department of Sport & Exercise Science at South East Technological University (SETU). She holds a PhD in Clinical Exercise Physiology from Dublin City University (DCU), focusing on vascular health in peripheral arterial disease. Her research emphasizes exercise interventions for chronic conditions like cardiovascular disease, pulmonary disease, cancer, and frailty, with a focus on community- and home-based rehabilitation programs. She co-supervises seven PhD students across SETU and DCU, and collaborates with clinical partners such as University Hospital Waterford and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Centre.
Education: BSc in Sport Science and Health (DCU, 2009); PhD in Clinical Exercise Physiology (DCU, 2014). Professional development includes a certification in Research Leadership (Institute of Leadership & Management, 2018). She previously managed the ExWell community-based exercise rehabilitation program and contributed to the National Exercise Referral Framework for Ireland.
