Britt Andersen is a Professor in Comparative Literature at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), affiliated with the Department of Nordic Studies and Literature. She holds roles as Executive Editor of the Norwegian Literary Journal and has served on the board for Ludvig Holbergs minnepris (2016–2020). Previously, she was department leader (2012) and vice-dean at the faculty (2013–2017).
Her research focuses on modernism, feminism, psychoanalysis, and queer theory, with notable work on Virginia Woolf, Knut Hamsun, and Alf Prøysen. She has supervised numerous Master’s theses, including studies on intertextuality in J.M. Coetzee’s *Disgrace* and analyses of Alf Prøysen’s texts.
