Bridget Fahey

Bridget Fahey is an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Chicago Law School, affiliated with the University of Chicago’s Data Science Institute. She co-directs the Data Ecology Research Initiative, funded by a $1M grant. Her research focuses on constitutional law, federalism, and the legal frameworks governing government data use. Fahey holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Chicago and a JD from Yale Law School.

Her research explores federal-state interactions, legal tools in intergovernmental projects, and the structural law of data. Key themes include cooperative federalism’s administrative systems, contractual instruments in governance, and cross-jurisdictional data markets.
