About
Dr. Brian Wallace is an Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology within the College of Letters and Science at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. His research focuses on biomechanical risk factors for sports injuries, neuromuscular adaptations to training, and biomechanics pedagogy. He holds a PhD in Biomechanics from the University of Kentucky and maintains Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification.
Research interests include quantifying kinetics during plyometric exercises, neuromuscular responses to resistance training, and biomechanics teaching methodologies. His work examines how strength parameters influence anaerobic capacity and how training variables affect injury risk.
Recent publications address volleyball injury management (2024), biomechanics pedagogy during COVID-19 (2023), kinesio taping effects (2023), and pre-workout supplementation (2019). He develops low-tech active learning approaches for biomechanics education.
Dr. Wallace teaches undergraduate courses in biomechanics and mentors student researchers in sports performance and injury prevention studies.
