Brian Thomas is a Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Customs and Excise Studies. With 36 years of experience as a former customs officer at the Australian Customs Service, he specializes in tariff classification, policy development, customs systems, and staff training. He has designed and delivered national and international training programs for customs officials, government personnel, and industry stakeholders.
