Brian T. Tomlin is the William and Josephine Buchanan Professor of Management at the Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth College. His research focuses on supply chain management, operations strategy, and supply chain risk. He received his PhD from MIT's Sloan School of Management and BE from University College Dublin. Prior to academia, he worked at General Electric and Boston Consulting Group.
His research interests include innovative operations, supply chain risk management, and technology-enhanced decision-making in operations. His work bridges academic theory and practical applications, with publications in leading journals and practice-oriented outlets.
Professor Tomlin's publications primarily explore risk mitigation strategies in supply chains, operational responses to disruptions, and technology adoption challenges. Recent work examines post-COVID supply chains, IoT integration, and social responsibility in sourcing.
