Brian Serna is an instructor at Southwestern College in Santa Fe, NM, and serves as a board member for the institution. A licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC, LADAC), he holds a BA in Psychology from New Mexico State University and an M.A. in Counseling from the University of New Mexico. His expertise lies in addiction treatment and mental health, with a focus on evidence-based practices, cross-cultural counseling, and working with adolescents. He has provided training and consultation internationally, including in the USA, Canada, Ireland, Wales, England, and Australia.

His research interests emphasize culturally responsive addiction interventions, co-occurring disorders, and ethical practices in counseling.
