Brian Radesic, DNP, MSN, CRNA is the Director of the Nurse Anesthesia Track at the University of Akron School of Nursing, where he oversees Ohio’s largest nurse anesthetist program. In parallel, he continues hands-on clinical practice at UH Parma Medical Center, mentoring students in real-world anesthesia care.

Research & Scholarly Focus
Dr. Radesic’s scholarship centers on airway management innovations, trauma anesthesia protocols, and technology-enhanced clinical education. He has pioneered simulation-based difficult-airway workshops for graduate students and developed one of Cleveland’s first electronic anesthesia record systems to improve patient safety and workflow efficiency.
His peer-reviewed work spans endotracheal intubation techniques under video laryngoscopy, thermal management during general anesthesia, and specialized airway strategies in cervical-spine-injured patients. Collectively, these studies advance evidence-based CRNA practice and perioperative safety standards.

Teaching & Mentorship
Dr. Radesic has educated hundreds of healthcare professionals across medical students, anesthesia residents, nursing students, flight nurses, OR/PACU nurses, respiratory therapists, and paramedics. He coordinates clinical rotations at more than 50 Ohio sites and lectures nationally on anesthesia pharmacology and airway management.
Laboratory & Program Leadership
He directs the University of Akron’s Nurse Anesthesia Program—Ohio’s largest—and created its inaugural difficult-airway workshop. His leadership integrates cutting-edge simulation with expansive clinical networks to produce practice-ready CRNAs.
