Brian O'Connor

Brian O'Connor is a Researcher in the Department of History at the European University Institute (EUI). His research focuses on Oral History, Memory Politics, Gender and Sexuality, and Protest and Emancipation Movements in Sicily from the 1970s to the present. His doctoral thesis, titled 'Noi ci stiamo provando' LGBT+ lives and the antimafia struggle in Sicily from the 1970s to the Present, is supervised by Professors Benno Bastian Gammerl and Lucy Riall. He is part of the EUI's 2019 cohort.
