Brian McCormick

Brian McCormick is a part-time Assistant Professor at The New School, teaching graduate media courses since 1997, and an adjunct lecturer in Music, Multimedia, Theatre & Dance at CUNY Lehman College. He is an educator, activist, and writer with extensive experience in arts advocacy and youth programs.

Education: BA in Psychology from SUNY Binghamton and MA in Media Studies from The New School for Social Research.

Research interests focus on media practices, arts education, and cultural activism, particularly in performance and youth development. His work includes creating programs like the after-school initiative at Baryshnikov Arts Center and leading teen arts initiatives through Arts Connection’s TRaC program.
