Brian Kinard

Brian Kinard is an Adjunct Professor at Baylor Law School, a position he has held since Winter 2023. He specializes in teaching Venture Capital and holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School (1995) with concentrations in Technology and Corporate Transactions. He also earned a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Prior to Baylor, Kinard practiced corporate and securities law at Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, California. He has extensive experience as CFO and General Counsel for early-stage and public technology companies, including his current role at Sera Systems in Grapevine, Texas, a software technology company.

His professional focus bridges legal expertise in technology ventures and corporate governance with an engineering background, reflecting his dual academic and career trajectory.
