Brian G. Leroux

Dr. Brian G. Leroux is a Professor with joint appointments in the Department of Biostatistics (School of Public Health) and the Department of Oral Health Sciences (School of Dentistry) at the University of Washington. He has been at UW since 1991 and currently directs the Data Coordinating Center for Northwest PRECEDENT, a dental research network. He also collaborates with Seattle Children’s Hospital on craniofacial anomaly studies and serves as Biostatistician/Associate Director for the Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium’s clinical trials in emergency medicine.

Research Interests: Dr. Leroux focuses on statistical methods for correlated data, particularly in dental and clinical research. His work spans clinical trials, longitudinal studies, high-dimensional data analysis, and applications in craniofacial anomalies, emergency medicine, and oral health. His research emphasizes improving data analysis techniques for complex biomedical datasets.

Key Research Contributions: His articles reflect expertise in pediatric neurodevelopmental outcomes, dental diagnostic reliability, osteonecrosis risk factors, and emergency cardiac care protocols. His statistical innovations, such as weighted generalized estimating equations for clustered data, bridge theoretical and applied biostatistics.
