Brian Evans

Brian Evans is a Senior Lecturer at Hartpury University's Department of Animal and Agriculture. He serves as the Foundation Year coordinator and module leader for courses such as Animal Nutrition and Advanced Animal Production. His roles include overseeing degree programs and providing academic guidance to students across various year groups.

Evans holds a BSc (Hons) in Agricultural and Food Sciences from the University of Nottingham (1994), a PGCE from the University of Wales, Newport (2005), and an MSc in Sustainable and Efficient Food Production from Aberystwyth University (2020).

His research focuses on animal nutrition, livestock health, and sustainable production, with emphasis on dairy cow management, feed consistency, and probiotic supplementation. Recent studies include infrared thermography for dairy cow health monitoring and auditory enrichment effects on cow behavior. He has collaborated with institutions like Duchy College and Somerset College as an external examiner and moderator.

Evans actively participates in workshops and conferences on topics like livestock health, climate change, and manure management. His advisory work includes farmer consultations on nutrition and parasite control.
