Brian Dorn is an Associate Professor of Computer Science and the Associate Dean for Academic and Faculty Affairs at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) College of Information Science & Technology. As the Union Pacific Community Chair of Computer Science Education, he focuses on computing education, human-computer interaction, and learning sciences.
His research centers on technologies and environments that support computational thinking and programming literacy in formal and informal settings. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and secured external funding from SIGCSE and the NSF.
