Brian Barkdoll is a Professor in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Michigan Technological University. His research focuses on sedimentation, scour, river mechanics, and sustainable water systems. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Iowa (1997), M.S. from the University of Cincinnati (1992), and B.S.C.E. from the University of Akron (1985). He served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Nepal from 1985–1989.
