Brian A. Schmidt

Brian A. Schmidt is an Associate Professor of Choral Music at Baylor University, where he conducts the A Cappella Choir and Chamber Singers. A GRAMMY-nominated conductor, he founded the Baylor International Choral Conducting Masterclass and previously directed the South Dakota Chorale and Duke Vespers Ensemble. His research focuses on Baroque performance and choral pedagogy.

Schmidt holds a DMA in Choral Conducting from the University of North Texas and has led professional ensembles featured on labels including Pentatone and Gothic Records.
