Brett Spencer

Brett Spencer is a Senior Lecturer and Director of the Centre of Podcasting Excellence at City St George's, University of London. He is also a founder of SJ Broadcast consultancy, a creative consultant for Spiritland Productions, and Executive Editor of BBC Three Counties Radio and BBC Northampton.

With over two decades of experience in digital media and radio, Spencer has held leadership roles at Bauer Media and the BBC. He pioneered podcasting at the BBC, launched innovative radio projects like 6 Music Live and Radio 2 Eurovision, and contributed to major events including the Olympics and Glastonbury.

His work spans media strategy, audio storytelling, and digital innovation. At City St George's, he focuses on advancing podcasting as an educational and professional tool.
