Dr. Savary’s research focuses on the development of polysaccharide-modifying enzyme systems to tailor the functional properties of pectin and arabinoxylan, as well as the isolation and analysis of functional proteins and polysaccharide components from rice and bioenergy crop processing fractions. He also investigates root-specific cell wall biochemistry using sugar beet hairy root cultures.
