Brett Davis is a Senior Lecturer at the Monash Sustainable Development Institute (Monash University). He holds an MBA in International Business from Torrens University Australia and a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Sydney, focusing on stormwater pollution in urbanized catchments.
His research addresses sustainable development goals, with a focus on environmental health in urban areas, antimicrobial resistance in informal settlements, and transdisciplinary research frameworks. He leads the project Health and economic benefits of environmentally sensitive watercycle management in informal urban settlements (2017–2026), collaborating with global experts in public health, environmental science, and urban planning.
Recent work includes studies on climate health risks, planetary health models for faecal contamination reduction, and heavy metal pollution in Sydney. His contributions bridge environmental science and public health, emphasizing solutions for urban sustainability and global equity.
