Brent Gibson

Brent Gibson is a Professor in the English Department at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor's College of Humanities and Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. from Baylor University (1999) and has taught at UMHB since that year.

Dr. Gibson specializes in Theology and Literature, Nineteenth-Century American Literature, and Literature and Film in Popular Culture. His interdisciplinary work connects literary analysis with religious themes and contemporary cultural narratives.

Recent publications examine ethical dimensions in literature, spiritual journeys in fiction, and philosophical themes in Wes Anderson's films. Notable works include Cold Mountain as Spiritual Quest and Katniss Everdeen: Morality in the Hunger Games.

He has held leadership roles in the Southwest Regional Conference on Christianity and Literature and the Conference of College Teachers of English.
