Brent Cook is a Professor and Division Chair of the Division of Biblical Studies and Theology at Bob Jones University's School of Theology and Global Leadership. He joined the BJU undergraduate Bible faculty and BJU seminary faculty in fall 2006 after completing his PhD in Church History from Bob Jones University in spring 2006.

Dr. Cook specializes in Church History, with particular expertise in Medieval Christianity and the Reformation era. His research interests encompass:
- Early Christian sites and archaeology
- Church history across various geographical regions
- Biblical interpretation and theology
- Apologetics and worldview studies
- Medieval architecture as it relates to Christian history
- Exploration of historical Christian sites in Israel, Turkey, Greece and Rome
Dr. Cook has taught twenty-two courses across Bible, philosophy, and church history disciplines. He is particularly known for his courses on Ancient & Medieval Christianity, History of Christianity, Reformation & Modern Christianity, The Gospels, and Worldview & Apologetics.
Dr. Cook maintains active engagement with his field through professional memberships, auditing courses, attending conferences, and extensive reading. He has pursued post-doctoral studies in philosophy and has traveled to fifteen foreign countries and throughout the United States investigating church history sites, archaeological digs, museums and centers for various religions.
Since 2015, Dr. Cook has also served as the Pastor for Preaching at University Baptist Church in Clemson, SC. He speaks on church history and apologetics subjects at various churches and symposiums.
Outside of academia, Dr. Cook is a native of Colorado who enjoys hiking the Rockies with his family, visiting National Parks, and trail running with his daughter. He and his wife Anne have three children, with their youngest adopted from China in 2016.
