Brendan Murphy

Dr. Brendan Murphy is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the School of Environmental Science, Simon Fraser University. His academic work integrates geomorphology, hydrology, and ecology to study watershed dynamics, particularly focusing on how natural and human-induced disturbances shape these systems.

• Research Focus: Wildfire hydrogeomorphic processes, river erosion mechanisms, and eco-geomorphological interactions (physical habitat disturbances, ecological resilience)
• Tools: Developer of the open-source USUAL Watershed Tools for automated watershed delineation and GIS workflows
