Brendan Adams

Dr. Brendan Adams is a Lecturer in Physiology at the School of Dentistry and Medical Sciences, Charles Sturt University, based at the Albury-Wodonga campus. He completed his PhD in Medicine (Neurophysiology) at the University of Melbourne focusing on epilepsy research, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship on schizophrenia at INSERM/University of Strasbourg, France.

• Teaches Anatomy, Physiology, and Neuroscience across multiple courses
• Developed neuroscience subjects and served as Course Director
• Research focuses on:
  • Neuroscience in tertiary education
  • Neuroscience of meditation/mindfulness
  • Thalamocortical network dynamics
  • Epilepsy and excitotoxicity mechanisms

His scholarly work includes peer-reviewed articles on HCN2 channels, kainic acid models, and therapeutic interventions in neurological disorders. Current projects explore mindfulness applications in education and health.
