Breda Cullen is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the School of Health & Wellbeing, University of Glasgow. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (2006) and a PhD in psychiatric epidemiology (2018). Her research focuses on the epidemiology and assessment of cognitive function in psychiatric and neurological conditions, with a focus on causal inference methods. Previously, she served as Senior Lecturer in the Mental Health and Wellbeing group. She has extensive experience in NHS clinical neuropsychology roles and has contributed to large-scale studies like the UK Biobank. Her work addresses cognitive screening tools, mood assessment in brain injury, and genetic influences on mental health. She has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and has been involved in randomized controlled trials for interventions in neurological rehabilitation.
