Braxton Rae is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Florida's Center for Arts, Migration and Entrepreneurship. Their work focuses on blackness, queerness, womanism, and marginalized identities, alongside exploring intimacy work in performance with an emphasis on care and safety. Braxton holds an MFA in Theatre Direction from the University of Texas at Austin.
Braxton's artistic and scholarly pursuits aim to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion within the arts. Notable projects include directing Always Patsy Cline and the world premiere of Small Steps.
