Brandy S. Faulkner

Brandy S. Faulkner serves as a Collegiate Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science within Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University's College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences, contributing to the institution since 2012. Her academic expertise spans constitutional law, administrative law, race and public policy, and critical organization theory, shaping both research and pedagogy in political science.

Her research critically examines intersections of law, governance, and social justice, with emphasis on racial dynamics in public policy and organizational structures. She teaches foundational courses including constitutional law, administrative law, public administration, research methods, and the politics of race, ethnicity, and gender, fostering rigorous intellectual development through student-centered pedagogy that consistently exceeds learning expectations.
