Brandy Marie Jones is an Adjunct Professor at Widener University's College of Arts and Sciences, affiliated with the Department of Allied Health Education. She holds an MEd in Higher Education from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Sociology and Communications from the University of Rhode Island. Currently, she is pursuing a doctorate in Higher Education at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Research Interests focus on:
- Black women's experiences in higher education
- Opportunities and challenges at Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs)
- Racialized minority community-building at selective institutions
Her publications analyze racial equity, institutional accountability, and the role of Minority Serving Institutions. She is a member of the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE) and the Black Doctoral Network.
