Brandon Isaacson, M.D., is a Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He serves as Co-Director of the Comprehensive Skull Base Program and chairs the Otolaryngology Resident Selection Committee. Dr. Isaacson's academic background includes a B.S. in Chemistry (summa cum laude) from Armstrong State University, an M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia, and residency and fellowship training at the University of Michigan and Baylor College of Medicine.
His research focuses on cochlear implants, endoscopic ear surgery, acoustic neuroma, and skull base tumors. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles and serves on the editorial board of Otology & Neurotology. Awards include the UT Southwestern Chief Resident Appreciation Award (2008, 2012, 2017), Honor Award (2010), and Distinguished Service Award (2012) from the American Academy of Otolaryngology.
Dr. Isaacson’s clinical expertise spans otology, neurotology, and skull base surgery. His surgical innovations include endoscopic approaches for cochlear implantation and paraganglioma resection. He actively participates in professional organizations such as the American Neurotology Society and the Triological Society.
