Brandi Berry

Brandi Berry is an Assistant Professor and Dean at the Mass Communications Department of Lincoln University since 2017. With a background in Film and Video Production (MFA) and Mass Communication and Theater (BAs), she emphasizes creating a safe, student-centered learning environment that integrates critical thinking frameworks like Angela Duckworth's Grit and Jane McGonigal's game theory.

Her research and practice focus on leveraging media for social justice, particularly through documentary filmmaking that amplifies voices of abuse survivors. She teaches courses spanning digital news reporting, public relations, travel vlogging, and television news production, while mentoring students on personal development and academic success strategies.

Currently, she is working on a documentary about Amariche Hawkins, exploring themes of male vulnerability, healing, and resilience in the context of child abuse and mental illness.
