Boyd Anderson

Boyd Anderson serves as Senior Lecturer and Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore's School of Computing. His academic journey spans Victoria University of Wellington (B.Sc. Physics, M.Sc. Statistics) to NUS (Ph.D. 2019), where he now shapes computing education while advancing sensor technology research.

His research centers on Embedded Systems and Body Sensor Networks, particularly Ultra Wideband (UWB) applications for gait analysis. Anderson's work bridges computer science with healthcare, developing wearable devices that measure human locomotion for clinical diagnostics and athletic performance enhancement, as demonstrated in his 2019 mobile gait analysis publication.

Anderson's scholarly output reveals dual trajectories: educational innovation (2023 SIGCSE publication on CS1 development) and sensor technology (2018-2019 mobility analysis systems).
