Boris Maslov

Boris Maslov is Associate Professor of Classics at the University of Oslo specializing in Greek literature and historical poetics. His research analyzes ancient literary forms through modern theoretical frameworks.

He co-founded the Historical Poetics Working Group and contributes to Free Moscow University. Current book projects examine myth structures in Attic tragedy and Pindaric genealogies of abstract concepts.

Methodologies combine philological analysis with quantitative approaches to verse structure and conceptual history across literary traditions.
