Bobby Taylor

Bobby Taylor is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Criminology, Law and Society at George Mason University and currently serves as a Lieutenant with the Alexandria City Police Department. He has over 18 years of law enforcement experience spanning administrative, operational, tactical, and investigative roles.

• Education: Graduate Certificate in Emergency Management & Homeland Security (2020), Masters in Public Administration (2020), Bachelors in Criminology, Law, and Society (2012) from George Mason University; Graduate of the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy (2006); Associates in Criminal Justice (2006) from Northern Virginia Community College.

His academic and professional focus centers on criminal justice systems, community policing strategies, and emergency management. He contributes operational expertise to specialized units like SWAT and participates in departmental committees.
