Bo Waggoner is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Colorado, Boulder, within the College of Engineering and Applied Science. He teaches graduate courses in Algorithmic Economics and Blockchain, including CSCI 5454 (Design and Analysis of Algorithms) and CSCI 6314 (Algorithmic Economics).
His research focuses on the intersection of game theory, mechanism design, prediction markets, information elicitation, and algorithmic economics. He has secured grants from the Ethereum Foundation and the National Science Foundation for work on market mechanisms and algorithmic decision-making frameworks.
He co-organized the 2021 EC Forecasting Workshop and participates in conferences like NeurIPS, ACM EC, and ITCS. His advising includes Maneesha Papireddygari, who presented work on information-acquisition contracts.
