Bo Liang is Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at UND, developing optical imaging tools for neuroscience. Research focuses on miniature microscopes for deep-brain calcium imaging, neural circuit analysis in motor learning/social behaviors, and Parkinson's disease mechanisms. NIH postdoctoral training included creating open-source imaging devices at NIDA.
Publications feature in vivo neural ensemble tracking, striatal pathway functions, and neurodegenerative disease models. Teaches Biomedical Optics, Computational Imaging, and supervises graduate research. Holds Ph.D. in Optical Engineering from Chinese Academy of Sciences.
